English has many sayings which include animal words. So, if you're anxious to start playing the hangman game, hold your horses; be patient.

If you have butterflies in your stomach it means you are very nervous, for example, just before an exam. This is a little different from to have ants in your pants, which means you are so nervous you can't sit down for a second.

But if you'd like to be a fly on the wall, you want to know what someone is talking about in private. But when you say there're no flies on her, it means she's very clever and is nobody's fool.

If a friend of yours has just broken up with a boyfriend or girlfriend, you can say, don't worry, there are more fish in the sea. This is different from feeling like a fish out of water, which means you don't feel comfortable in the company of the people you're with.

Then we all know someone who is a snake in the grass: a person who appears friendly but you can't trust them.

If I tell you any more animal hangman words here, I'm letting the cat out of the bag; I'm telling you the answers. Good luck with your English study. Remember, with English, the world is your oyster; anything and everything is possible.
